Battle’s O’er – A Nations Tribute – 11 November 2018
Pipers are being asked to take part in “Battle’s O’er – A Nation’s Tribute” a unique and simple way to mark the centenary of the end of the Great War.
This will be a mass playing of the retreat march, When the Battle’s O’er outside cathedrals and other locations across the UK AT 06:00 on Sunday, November 11, 2018.

RAF Waddington Pipers will be playing at 6 Major Cathedrals across the UK.

Pipe Major Finlay MacGhee from RAF Waddington who had the privilege to lead the RAF Pipes & Drums down the Mall this year as part of the Centenary Parade, has been selected to play at Lincoln Cathedral on that morning.

Remembrance Parade Grantham 11 November 2018
Waddington Pipes and Drums will be once again leading the Remembrance Day Parade in Grantham.

St. Barnabas Torchlight Procession 27 November 2018
Waddington Pipes and Drums will lead a spectacular procession of around 1000 people holding burning torches and lanterns
through the Cathedral Quarter of Lincoln on Tuesday 22 November.

Large crowds gather every year to watch procession organised by St. Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice in memory of loved ones who are no longer with us.

The, “Light up a Life” event is expected to raise around £40,000 this year through pledges, donations and the sale of torches and lanterns.

Pipe Major Finlay MacGhee from the RAF Waddington Pipes and Drums commented,” This atmospheric and moving event is one that the whole band looks forward to. We are very pleased and privileged to have the opportunity to support such a worthwhile local cause.”

Carol Service at Lincoln Cathedral 14 December 2018
Lincolnshire’s Chief Constable, Bill Skelly will host the annual Police Carol Service in Lincoln Cathedral on 14th December 2018.

RAF Waddington Station Commander will join a packed audience for a
service of traditional Christmas carols.

The program also included a selection of seasonal tunes from the RAF Waddington Pipes and Drums who have become, over the past couple of years, a popular feature at this event.
